Our story

Welcome to Skellefteå Kayaking!

A local kayak rental company with its roots in Skellefteå.​

We started in 2021, at a time when the pandemic limited opportunities for training and social activities. The need for safe and nature-based experiences was great, which is why we launched our first unmanned kayak rental at Manhemskajen. The concept quickly became appreciated, a simple and flexible way to experience the Skellefteå River on your own.

We have now moved to Kyrkholmen. A location surrounded by beautiful nature, close to Rovön and Lejonströmsbron. It’s also 1 minute away from Kyrkholmen café and a good cup of coffee. A wonderful way to embrace the summer.

If you feel unsure or have never kayaked before, no problem at all. We’re happy to help and make sure you get safely out on the water. Just contact us in advance so we can plan your activity together.
