Welcome to Skelleftea Kayaking, where we make your kayaking adventure come to life! Our rental services cater to everyone from beginners to experienced kayakers. Before you embark on your journey, we require you to read and accept our safety regulations. Once you're set, we ensure your paddling experience is safe and fun!

Terms of Service

By engaging in our kayaking services, you agree to our terms and conditions. These terms govern your use of our equipment and services provided by Skelleftea Kayaking.

User Agreement

As a user of Skelleftea Kayaking's services, you acknowledge and agree to comply with the regulations and guidelines set forth in this agreement. Please read and understand these terms carefully before proceeding with your kayak rental.

Responsibilities

A. Ensuring safety and enjoyment is our top priority. By renting our equipment, you accept responsibility for your safety during the rental period. The customer agrees to always wear a life jacket during all paddling. If the lifevest provided does not fit the customer, they need to bring their own life jacket. The customer agrees that all paddling is at their own risk and takes full responsibility.
 

B. The customer is also responsible for ensuring the equipment is undamaged and not lost during the rental period and takes full responsibility for the condition of the equipment during the rental period. If any equipment is lost during the rental period, the customer is required to inform Skelleftea Kayaking immediately using the contact information provided.  If any equipment is lost during the rental period, Skelleftea Kayaking has the right to charge the customer for the estimated cost of the loss of the product and interest for the time it takes to replace the product that has been lost.
 

C. In the event of theft or damage to the equipment caused by a third party, the customer is responsible to report the theft/damage to the police in the place where the theft/damage occurred.

Prohibited Activities

Engaging in illegal activities, misuse of equipment or dangerous acts that endanger yourself or others during or in connection with the rental period is strictly prohibited.

Booking conditions & cancellations

Up to 24 hours prior to departure, you can cancel your kayak tour free of charge. If you cancel within 24 hours, full charges apply. If you cancel within 24 hours because of illness, a doctor’s certificate will be required so you can be fully reimbursed.

Maintenance and care

At Skelleftea Kayaking, we take the proper care of our rental equipment seriously. When hiring our equipment, you are responsible for returning the equipment clean and in working order.
If the equipment is returned dirty, Skelleftea Kayaking has the right to charge the customer a cleaning fee of 349 SEK. (Exception if the customer has paid a cleaning fee when making their booking)

Return of equipment

If the customer fails to return the rented equipment in time Skelleftea Kayaking has the right to charge the customer with a delay fee of 450 SEK as the delay can directly affect other customers waiting to paddle. If the customer is not able to return the rented equipment in time they are obligated to contact  Skelleftea Kayaking immediately using the contact information provided. Upon return, the equipment shall be left in the same condition as when it was picked up, except for normal wear and tear. If the kayak is not locked again after the rental period is over Skelleftea Kayaking has the right to charge the customer with a safety fee of 1500 SEK.

ā€‹Equipment Insurance

Our Equipment Protection Insurance offers comprehensive coverage for lost equipment such as paddles, life vests, and spray decks during your booking period. This insurance is easy to add to your booking and provides reliable support, allowing you to focus on your experience. Please note that the insurance does not cover the loss of the kayak or smart lock.

To receive reimbursement, customers must contact Skelleftea Kayaking immediately upon discovering the loss during the booking period. Additional proof of the incident may be required and must be provided if requested. Skelleftea Kayaking reserves the right to decline reimbursement if there is insufficient proof of the incident.

Content Ownership

Skelleftea Kayaking retains ownership of all content, including but not limited to instructional materials and safety guidelines provided to lessees.

Rights to Access

Access to Skelleftea Kayaking's equipment and services is granted solely for the purpose of recreational kayaking, subject to compliance with these terms and conditions.

Company's Rights

Skelleftea Kayaking reserves the right to enforce these terms, including but not limited to charging fees for damages, cancellations, and late returns.

Third-Party Links and Content

Links to third-party websites or content provided for informational purposes are beyond our control. We do not endorse or guarantee the accuracy of such content.

Disclaimers and Indemnification

Skelleftea Kayaking disclaims any liability for damages or injuries resulting from the use of our equipment or services. By agreeing to these terms, you indemnify us against any claims arising from your use of our equipment.

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the constitution of Sweden. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of Skellefteå tingsrätt.
